Major events specialists, The Livescape Group in consultation with The Singapore Tourism Board, is organising Asia’s largest music festival aboard Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas.

The floating festival, called ‘It’s the Ship 2014’, will run for five days, starting in Singapore’s Marina Bay Cruise Centre on 21 November.

International acts such as Dash Berlin, ISMC, Sick Individuals and Crookers will perform during the cruise. And Lil Jon and Basement Jaxx will have their own DJ sets.

There will also be performances by local names such as Indonesia’s Ladyflic; Thailand’s Bangkok Invaders; Malaysia’s B.A.T.E; and Singapore’s Dualist Enquiry.

Key to the itinerary will be a call into Langkawi on 23 November where partygoers will have a star-studded beach party hosted by rapper and producer, Lil Jon.

According to The Livescape Group chief executive Muhammed Iqbal, around 3,800 festival-goers will join the event. Over 60 percent will come from outside Singapore.

Punters are expected to be made-up of people from Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippines, Hong Kong, Europe and the US.

“Australians are renowned for their love of travel and a good time and with competition for Australian music festival tickets becoming increasingly fierce over the past few years, with events like Falls Festival in Lorne selling out in a matter of minutes, we have seen dramatic growth in Aussies attending bigger regional music events across Asia Pacific,” Mr Iqbal said.

“We are extremely proud to announce our full lineup and we hope the fans are as excited as well.

“I urge those who have yet to buy their cabins to do so soon as all our cabins are selling out extremely fast.”
