Adventure and small ship cruise company, Hurtigruten has made a play for the Asian market by hiring a sales and marketing manager to tackle the region.
Wendy Man, a veteran from Costa Cruises and Royal Caribbean has been charged with looking after Hong Kong, South China and Southeast Asia.
She will lead and support sales and marketing activities across the Asian market and she will be building relationships and facilitating brand and tactical marketing activites.
“Hong Kong, South China and the emerging Southeast Asia source markets are key target markets in our expanding business strategy across the region,” Ms Man’s boss Damian Perry managing director APAC told Seatrade News.
“Wendy brings great expertise and enthusiasm to our group.”
Hurtigruten, which is extremely popular in countries like the United Kingdom and Australia is famous for its cruises around Norway.
Renowned for taking passengers through the regions beautiful fjords, guests will also get the chance to see one of the most spectacular natural wonders, the northern lights.
The line has been in the exploration cruise market for 125 years and is now has the largest fleet in the polar regions with 14 ships.
